Mystery Bird Nest

This tiny Hanging Bird Nest 
is very similar to the much larger Baltimore Oriole nest.
 
 

It was found in central Pennsylvania in a Lilac Bush, about eight feet above the ground. It is in remarkably good condition considering that it was found in Late January and had withstood some fierce Winter storms.

It measures 2 - 3/4 inches deep and has a 1- 3/4 inch diameter entrances as indicated by the ruler above.
