These Garden Steps were built using discarded sidewalk slabs and bricks.

 
This project was started on a Hot day - note umbrella



These steps lead to the garden and compost bin
(also made of slabs and bricks)

A local Building contractor may be a good source for these materials.
They may even prefer to deliver them free, rather than pay a landfill to accept them.
